Whatever your age, ability and water goals, there’s something for you in our exciting range of pool-based activities.
Aquafit
We have a range of aerobics-style classes in the pool, from challenging deep water classes to less demanding sessions in the shallow end. Aquafit is a great low-impact way to exercise, and especially helpful for all kinds of physical rehab.
Silver Club
These sessions for older adults feature a more gentle range of exercises to support mobility, cardiovascular health and general fitness, all supported by the water. Classes are run by our highly experienced instructors Heather, Allison, Fay, and Katie who build in plenty of modifications so that the exercises work for everyone.
Synchronised swimming
Our club is run by our very own Olympic synchronised swimmer and instructor, Katie! Sessions are 5.30 to 6.15pm every Thursday in term time, with week-long crash courses in the holidays. Children must be able to swim two lengths, tread water for at least two minutes and be confident underwater. Katie is also happy to work with groups of adults. Get in touch on 842525 or reception@westernswimmingpool.im.
Indoor kayaking
Expert instruction for all ages, every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from October to March. Sessions are run by Adventurous Experiences, who can also host private sessions for children and adults. To book or find out more, email info@adventurousexperiences.com.
