Peel Swimming Club

Peel Swimming Club is an exciting venture which is unique to the Western Swimming Pool. Peel Swimming Club is aimed at children who are competent swimmers who have a keen interest in swimming and who wish to continue training at a higher level. Children will gain experience of formal coaching, will progress their technique to a competitive standard and will be able to take inspiration from our extremely talented coaches. The sessions are run by Lee Holland who is the Isle of Man’s Swimming Associations Head Coach. He has personally enjoyed a successful swimming career at Junior International and Senior National level and has since been coaching professionally for 8 years. Over his career he has placed 14 swimmers onto National and International training programmes and his swimmers have achieved over 30 medals at National and Youth Championships, including 2 British age group records.  Heather will be well known to you as a teacher who is highly qualified and experienced and takes a special interest in developing the technical aspects of swimming whilst still ensuring sessions remain fun.
The sessions take place on Wednesday afternoons and are either 45 minutes for the development group and 1 hour for the performance group.
The majority of children who participate in this group also join Peel Swimming Club, giving them the opportunity to represent their club at competitions both on and off the Island.
We feel that whatever your child’s aspirations in swimming; whether they want to swim the Channel, compete in a triathlon or win Olympic gold,  Peel Swimming Club will be a first step in the right direction.
